this course, providing that it is taken prior to the expiry of your 3 year certificate, provides a refresher and update of your skills from the FAW programme

emergency first aid at work (appointed person)
designed for the designated appointed person for the workplace, covering administrational responsibilities as well as basic life saving skills

n.b. the h&saw far 1981 were
revised as of 1st october 2009 putting the onus of risk
assessment on to the premises management, to establish the
extent of training required and to how many staff
alternative first aid training
paediatric (ofsted) first aid
for individuals working with children, registered child minders, play group workers, etc

paediatric first aid (& ofsted refresher)
non-registered or ofsted regulated child carers

defibrillator training
where your own risk assessment or local authorities dictate, a defibrillator may be required to respond to related emergency, but can only be used by trained staff

emergency responder
for staff with no administrative responsibility but risk assessment dictates duty of care, this course focuses on basic life saving skills. this course is also part of the hse’s annual refresher training recommendation to keep skills up to date
