NEW SIA TRAINING REQUIREMENTS 11/01/2010

the SIA announced at the beginning of December 2009, the new revised modular style training requirements for SIA compliant qualifications.

this modular style of training benefits security personnel by only having to do the “common module” once and then “specialist modules” in order to able to apply for their sector specific licence (from June 2010).

abc diligence training will continue to deliver the current training programme, until such times the awarding body release the learning outcomes for the new qualifications, however the qualification will still be valid for SIA applications

EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK (APPOINTED PERSONS) 11/01/2010

as of 1st october 2009, the HSE updated the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work First Aid Regulations

the changes in regulations puts emphasis on organisations carrying out a risk assessment as to its first aid provisions for its staff and in some cases, takes in to account its customers

abc diligence training, can help organisations carry out this training needs assessment, provide (HSE approved & certificated) training for all levels of the HSE's defined responsibilities and can also supply equipment and documentation that complies with the regulatory requirements

SIA - Door Supervisors 12/07/2010

From July 2010, ABC Diligence Training will only be running the NEW approved and improved SIA programme (although some other training companies may/can only deliver the old programmes up until the end of August 2010).

Our first NEW STYLE BIIAB Level 2 Award in Door Supervision programme starts on Saturday 24th July 2010, and there (as of today) only a few spaces left, so be quick to guarantee a place on this course.

The NEW STYLE BIIAB Level 2 Awards in CCTV Operations and Security Guarding are also available and as a result of the new modular style/format, you may only need to complete just 2 days of training and 1 or 2 exams for each of these (which will greatly reduce your time and most importantly costs).

Its also worth remembering that should you apply for more than one licence with the SIA, you get the second licence for HALF PRICE, which greatly increases your work/deployment potential.
