This qualification will accredit and enable an individual to deliver adult learning training courses, like ones offered by abc diligence training limited

A trainer however, should also have sector experience, knowledge and qualification in the area in which they wish to train within, and although there is no official pre-requisit for the PTLLS course, having prior training experience and/or basis train-the-trainer qualification would benefit the learner.

PTLLS (preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector)

Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector

This is a professional teaching qualification and the course requires your active participation and the completion of coursework assignments. Assignments are set by the Awarding Body and comprise a theory assignment and a practical assignment.

This course covers the following aspects of tutor training:

• planning a teaching session and a scheme of work
• the role of the tutor
• the training cycle
• meeting individual learner needs
• teaching and learning methods
• assessment methods
• evaluation strategies

Assessment includes delivering a 30-minute teaching session to the rest of the group. You will need to be able to express yourself effectively both orally and in writing. You will need a qualification or experience in the subject area you intend to teach.
